Change.

Time flies so fast. I guess it’s just hitting me now that I only have about a year and a half until I start college or possibly move out. With a new year comes new challenges, but there will always be new opportunities to grow more in love with God.

It’s crazy how far I’ve come since freshman year. I haven’t grown in the height department, obviously. But I can honestly say that every hardship I’ve encountered has shaped me to be stronger for this new year.

I can’t help but feel a little bit anxious for when school starts. But as I begin to think about it more and more, the good stuff always outweigh the bad.

It’s high school, I only have one shot at this. I have three semesters left to be that light to the people at Granada. I want every part of my being just to make this count for God. To take those relationships I’ve neglected this last semester and really work at bettering them. And to just show my parents that I am really responsible on my own (I think this means turning down their offers to buy me things *sigh*). But hey, you gotta start somewhere. Also to be in constant prayer for my friends and the teachers around me. God blessed me with a lot of love in my life, I really shouldn’t take it for granted. Because Jesus said,

…I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full.
John 10:10

Man, I  serve a God who sacrifices so much for me. This semester I seriously strive to show the same love He has for me to others.

Soooo, I hope this isn’t too late but…

New Year’s Resolutions

  • Get back into reading my Bible and setting daily goals to get me out of my comfort zone.
  • Invest more time with Momo and Nina. It’s been such a long time since we’ve had a Sex and the City, eat pistachios, boy talk day. I miss these mini hangouts after school.
  • Have more bffl days with Ara, Kaila, and Jess. We need to get back to our adventures.
  • Continue to love on my choir girls.
  • Show other people how much I really care for them.
  • “Never speak harshly to an older man, but appeal to him respectfully as you would to your own father. Talk to younger men as you would to your own brothers. Treat older women as you would your mother, and treat younger women with all purity as you would your own sisters.”  1 Timothy 5:1-2
  • Screw trying to impress colleges, teachers, peers, etc. I’m doing this all for Jesus.
  • Use whatever gift of intellect that I may have to help others.
  • Learn how to give to those less fortunate than me.
